Will the real Naked Editor please stand up?

Zapiro sketches at lunchOne of the classic moments at WAN yesterday was watching Zapiro cartoonist Jonathan Shapiro, doodle the profile of Jacob Zuma while Zuma was defending his lawsuits against various SA media, journalists and one cartoonist, namely Zapiro. My favourite blog from WAN is the unattributed blog by the ‘Naked Editor‘. Clearly a senior male member of SANEF and the media establishment - on the editorial side, not management - we think. What’s your view? Anyone willing to out the nameless hack masquerading as a plumber from Springs out to impress his lady love, some butch sub from a Springs knock-and-drop, when clearly he can do better. We for one would run his blog, free of course, we don’t pay for columnists - the honour of writing for us is payment enough, so I hope he’s not looking to get rich. Plumbers make more money per hour than editors. His naïve view of the media world is absolutely classic and not to be missed. Wish I’d thought of it.
