[Mobility 2007] 3G is the story of 2007
By Louise Marsland in Marketing, Mobile | 0 comments
The emergence of the 3G data card is probably one of the big stories of telecommunications in the corporate and SME environment in South Africa in 2007. This and the improvement in technology, thereby providing cellphone users with access to more and more services via their cellphones, was the highlight of Mobility 2007, the annual study by Arthur Goldstuck’s World Wide Worx of mobile technology in South Africa.
Goldstuck’s study, sponsored by FNB, is becoming a benchmark for research into cellphone and cellphone services uptake in South Africa. He released his latest findings at a press conference at the Sandton Sun Hotel in Johannesburg between 10am and 11am this morning, Tuesday, 20 November 2007.
Goldstuck believes 2007 is the tipping point for mobile communications and technology and we could see a similar surge in usage as with the Internet revolution five/six years ago.
