I was just at the launch of Fresh Living, the new custom magazine for Pick n Pay. Here a few pics showing the new branding and some of the new product lines.

Update Thursday 22 November: Here are the photos that I forgot to take on the ads I received in my Tuesday edition of the local knock-and-drop Caxton community newspaper:

they could have left the old one for a moment i thought it was some midical aid coz it totally looks like one who ever came up with this should be dealt with & i could have done better than that

Thank goodness they changed it, I became seriously g@tvol of the old logo, BUT not the best replacement you could find. Should’ve considered using local agencies, the Absa logo and Engen logo was developed in RSA, need I see more…

I must be honest, when I first saw the new branding for PnP, I was not impressed, however, as a marketing student I had a deeper look into it, and I feel that even though the new logo is more simple than the previous one, it also shows that PnP is not all about fancy names, yet what the name entails. With the new logo came new products, and I feel it makes sense to have a more simplistic yet still sophisticated brand design, and have more quality and design on and within the actual PnP products.
I think PnP knows exactly what they are doing!
I think the change is for the best!

Tired of P N P that caters only for Muslims. All foods Halaal signs on.Why not keep P N P No Name brands free from Halaal signs?Or is pnp now Allahs Baby?

maybe pick’n Pay knows that Halaal food is better seeing that you dont know what you talking about.

Thanks for a fantastic magazine, bought the copy for Jan/Feb 2009 and my boys (aged 6 and 11) loved the strawberries and cotagge chesse sandwiches.I was hoping that you guys could put together some vegetable sandwiches (fun and tasty ones)for them to make themselves.

    Keep up the good work.

I am so glad I discovered your magazine!!!!Where can you go and buy a magazine for R9.95, with so many useful ideas? I believe that most people can afford not only the magazine but the wonderful recipes that you publish as well.I’m a single mother with a 17 year old son.
not only are the recipes great, but most of them don’t take that long, definately for the working mom.
    Thanks again!!

seems someone from PNP is writing articles and comments about recipes and good magazines. Please stop cz you are only becumin too monotonous, try good shopping experience instead of the same thing. Good recipes, cheap magazine. pleaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssse.
