[Radio] Ray White quits Radio 2000

The Breakfast Show on Radio 2000 will come to an end on Thursday, 21 February 2008, as Ray White will be leaving the station to join Telkom Media. Ray told Bizcommunity.com this morning that he and Radio 2000 are parting ways as the music format of the station is to change once again and this time he “cannot follow”. Look out for more in Bizcommunity tomorrow.

Welcome to the idocracy that is SABC. I obviously understand that every station has its programming manager and playlists to attract certain audiences, so just who does SABC think they are going to attract now? Go back to auto-rotation, without Ray mornings will be hitting your head agianst a rock, not rise and rock…..eish!

Thanks for the memories Ray. Like everything else in this country, now the dark days follow. An example of the ANC’s grip on media and the exploitation of the now-failed BEE.

Their reach is unbelievable. Their damage is immesurable. Our plight unspeakable.

Nice. One day every station will operate off the same fake, plastic, boardroom-conceived, commercial, dime-a-dozen, soulless playlist. It happened to X-FM in the UK when Capitol took over - the outcry was huge but eventually died down - and now blandness and sameness rules the airwaves. Where must one go now to find real music?

Thanks for your time Ray, for a brief period we were able to listen to some decent music in the mornings.
I hope to see (hear) you again in the future, who knows maybe somebody with some brains has noticed how successful your show was.

Used to love Ray White’s morning show. Music was great. Needless to say, I now switch it off almost as soon as I’ve tuned in - really bland, non-descript music. What a pity!
