[Radio] Ray White to stay at Radio 2000?
By Simone Puterman in Marketing, Radio | 2 comments
My Twitter network informed me today that this morning, on what was supposed to be Ray White’s last Rise and Rock breakfast show on Radio 2000 with co-host Nicole da Silva, management had an on-air discussion with him and said that the “people had spoken” and asked them to stay on.
In a surprise about turn, White – who it was reported was poached by Telkom Media - apparently then said that he will be staying for the foreseeable future and “see you on Monday”.
Reliable sources have since told Bizcommunity.com that Ray will be meeting with station management shortly to discuss things further.
Publicity stunt in a climate of radio contract renegotiation, or a genuine tug-of-war between different media houses for top talent?

Ray White Top Talent? Ray and Nicoles banter borders on the ridiculous. He should stick to reading the news and traffic.

that’s surprising Rory. i’ve found them engaging, funny and refreshingly unapologetic.
