Awesome………… this guy actually introduced the likes of David Kau, Kagiso Lediga, and Joe Rasdien some of our gretest stand up comedians were given a platform on his show. He is a pioneer with too much brilliance and yes some people are actually threatened by that, he is good and he knows that too. Welcome back Big Joe….

I don’t really thinks that Phat Joe can adjust to kaya fm style ,the breakfast should have been given to the IceMan(Just-Ice Ramohlola).
we all know that so called Joe never succeded on the breakfast shows like as Ice did be4.
No hard feelings just expressing my opinion.

what do you mean ‘black radio DJs’?
is this radio for them…? otherwise he would just be a radio DJ right?

Let us see Metro run now.. We know Thomas does not crack it thanks to his boy Lupi.. who sounds more and more like a closeted stiffled gay man.
Who will touch Kaya’s breakfast…. bow out boys.. pack you vinyls and come and listen to Kaya.

While I battle to tune in to a certain radio station this morning on my mobile phone, the feedback I get before I reach the actual station is horrendous! I’m saying this in light of Kaya FM’s brave or rather innovative change next Monday! Hopefully when my dial & many other’s hits 95.9 KHz on Monday we don’t go through the same experience. On that, couldn’t help think that maybe & just maybe Ms Deacon is leaving because the powers that be(share holders, etc) wanted ‘Phat Joe’ & she didn’t! I mean why would you work so hard all these years & let it go like that? Yes, they all claim to leave while they still at their peak… but this ain’t an example of that! Surely the must be a valid reason. Also, her management style is evident in some of the DJ’s, from Live & switched on(the original one with Pat & Ed, not this now defunt crap), the brilliant midday hosts T-Bose & Georgie & then the rather ageing Mr L Dube(he must be next in line)… doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see there’s a similarity not only in gender & race but in their style(presentation & otherwise) & a few others. Now you take that & mirror it with ‘Phat Joe’! Perfect picture of the up&down waves of a patient struggling for his/her life in a life support machine. Don’t get me wrong, I’m waiting with bated breath for the new change on Monday! Kaya FM is the future sound, the kind of station I’d want to listen to in my mid thirties. The direction & decisions the station takes ofcourse will determine where & who will be listening to it 5-7yrs from now. My one & only hope is that in pursuit of profit & the most number of listernership they don’t compromise on their quality, the one critical factor that sets it apart from the rest & makes it what it is today.

I don’t think you were listening to radio back in the days of the Phat Joe Live And Dangerous Show.
You will soon find out a what a pioneer Phat Lips Joe is!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Kaya FM made a wise investment by getting Phat Joe on their breakfast show. Many listeners have missed him so much since he left the scene a few years ago. I look forward to listening to his show daily. He is the best.

I wasn’t a khaya fm listener before but only tuned in on Thusdays to listen to the Psychic Shannon. Then I heard that Phat Joe would be hosting the morning show.I thought what good could really come from that.In the past i thought Phat Joe was senselessly loud and something about him was telling me that he badly wanted to prove himself and that was kind of overbearing and just too much. So out of interest for an unknown reason, i thought let me tune in. Then there was a stunt about him being late and i thought clearly this guy’s work ethic has been flushed down the toilet.I was intrigued by what would follow so i tuned in the following day.The long story short i’m still tuning in on alternate days(deal with daughter to listen to Mary J Blige sometimes). My impressions are PhatJoe is well at home now and has nothing really to prove. His talent is shining through and doing the talking. Great show!!!

I STILL THINK THAT JEFF, STEVE, THANDO AND NOMZAMO WERE VERY HOT, THIS PHATJOE GUY IS NOT GOOD FOR THE MORNING SHOW, PLEASE PUT HIM AFTER 9H00 IN THE MORNING, THE SHOW IS BORING NOW, NO LONGER INTERESTING, HIS BABY MUSIC IS NOT ON, I DONT REALLY LIKE HIS MUSIC NOR HIS SHOW. PLEASE BRING THE MORNING CRUE BACK, THE HOT, AND JOKING STUFF BACK, NO MORE JOKES IN THIS PHATJOE GUY SHOW. I USED TO LAUGH FOR HOME TO WORK WITH THEIR SHOW, NICE MUSIC, BUT NOW THE MORNING SHOW IS BORING.TAKE HIM OUT.

I must say, he surely has proven me wrong, I use to think phat joe was arrogant and empty headed, I have been listening to the radio since the likes of Grant, your Ike pahla were on radio, so I can tell if some or good or not, Phat is hooooot, I like it when he ads a bit of tswan and zulu, he is just natural, you can tell that he doesnt put to much effort with the comments or jokes, it all sounds unreheasd, I must say I use to dislike badly, you rock my morning I laugh all the way to work.

Love the show, best morning show ever - kaya must broadcast to whole nation, you are depriving a lot of listeners of this great talent.Only issue is Joe must stop talking in middle of songs coz he plays wonderful tracks, we want to enjoy the whole song.

Phat Joe rocks. He has added more spark to Kaya, especially the breakfas show. I love his humour & his nature. I think his absence from radio/tv was missed and he cane back with some good stuff. Big up and keep up the good work.

I think those phat lips has allot of potential, innovative, creativity, incomparable and definitely no match, this guy is in a league of his own. Warning! DJ’s, do not compete with Joe but if you feel you’re up for a challenge! you on you’re own, good luck because you surly need it.

hi i really like listening to phat joe in the morning yes he rocks……. but please the issue of Lira i feel so bad coz u guys cant stop talking about her that she is beautiful and most of the listeners voted her as the ugliest so please i think we heard enough of how she looks because its not the look that counts its the inner part of a person.

The show rocks, and this is coming from a 23 year old who is sick of listening to the ever pompous, egotistical, self assured, endorsment advertising, money making Sbu. Thats all that ever happens on his show, which worries me coz I use to like it. Love Stevie B’s business talks, attend every function he organises. As for Thomas… Revive Harambe,Metro is not working.
