[Radio] Of Chilli M and African crab stories…

Gauteng youth station YFM says it has not suspended Vukani Masinga, also known as DJ Chilli M, as reported by Sunday newspaper Sunday World.
When Bizcommunity.com called YFM, following up on the story, the station’s CEO Kanthan Pillay said, “You shouldn’t believe everything you read in Sunday’s newspapers. They write African crab* stories. We are on our way to a bos beraad and Chilli is with us. He is on leave and will be back on air soon. Keep listening to the station.”
According to Sunday World, the controversial Chilli M was suspended after he had a heated argument on-air with his producer, Dineo Lusenga, last Monday.
*Apparently African crabs are known to pull each other down.

Ja…listened to that show and was disappointed with hpow Chilli M handled himself. It was petty, juvenille and completly unprofessional. Well done to Dineo for standing her ground and not jumping the cliff with Chilli. It took lots of control and a very good level head to have interated with him as she did on that Monday. If anyone should have her own show…its Dineo for she know whats real radio is about…something that to this day i have yet to see Chilli M really prove he has any real grasp of!

I’m with Chilli all the way, i think that Dineo chick is full of it and she been hating on Chilli long now. Yes chilli is corky and on but atleast he don’t hide it, coz i think there is little cork-in-ness in ol of us.

chilli needs psychiatric help, and calling him a proud zulu man isn’t doing him any good. he’s clearly bipolar, his mood swings are crazy. he’s had a meltdown on air before, whats it going to take before someone gets him some help? dineo is a saint for putting up with him - and yfm is right to have put him on ice for a bit - lets hope they’ll encourage professional help…

I so wish I knew what it was about too. Personally, I’m not a fan of the infamous juvenile uncle. All i know is I’ve been crossing my fingers for delinquents like Chilli M to leave the airwaves, or maybe start acting his age instead of his IQ.

I think is very gud thing that chilli m is been put on hold, he is very unprofessional and lack basic radio skills.
personally i think he shouldn’t come back. he is trying to be like khabzela (basics first baba)
